Well written, great story with a super surprise ending! I didn’t see that coming! Very interesting as well with regard to all the technical capabilities being used today. The characters are very relatable and well rounded. I can’t wait to read the sequel!

Wonderful action filled book from a new author
K. C. Stone is a very dynamic Ex military with unique fighting skills. She has now become a U. S. Marshal. Her partner Ben Calloway comes from the same background...an Army Ranger. Ben also is part of a group called Overwatch, a private security firm. In this first book of this author, all parts come together to save K. C. and Ben from a person out of their past who wants them dead. Exciting book. Enough very interesting characters to write another dozen or more books.

Heart of Stone by B. E. Thidemann is a fast paced book based around US Marshall KC Stone and her partner, Deputy Marshal Ben Calloway. They go from protecting witnesses to being the hunted. Thidemann captures you in the first few sentences, keeps you intrigued throughout the story and pulls you in. Definitely a book I couldn't put down.
BIO
B.E. Thidemann has always been a creator at heart. Whether through a camera lens or the written word, she has spent her life finding beauty in the details. Her journey as an author began in first grade, when a teacher bound one of her stories into a small hardcover book. Holding that book and seeing her name on a spine for the first time, planted the dream in her heart.
That lifelong dream became reality with the publication of Heart of Stone. While many writers draw inspiration from the world around them, B. often finds hers in dreams. A vivid dreamer, she frequently wakes with scenes, tension, and characters already unfolding, mining her subconscious for the emotional stakes that drive her stories.
When she steps away from the keyboard, B. is usually outdoors. She enjoys photography, kayaking, traveling, exploring national parks, spontaneous road trips with her husband, spending time with her adult children, and seeking adventures.
